Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and support members on the roadside, often starting from home.

You'll need Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years, plus a full UK driving licence. The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with OTE around £60,000 and a van, tools, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home with a RAC van and equipment provided.
