Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day at home and serving your local area.

With a Level 2 LV Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll operate from home potentially, and receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of around £61,000 based on bonuses and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic can also meet the requirements.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults such as flat batteries, tyre changes and complex fault-finding.
• Start and finish your day from home and work locally in your area.
