RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK, delivering quick, confident solutions and reassurance to our members when they need it most.

You’ll work independently, use the latest diagnostic technology, and be trusted to make decisions while developing your skills and progressing your career within RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Work independently and adapt to varying environments.
