Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members stay mobile when it matters most.

You will diagnose faults, make quick decisions, and work independently with the latest diagnostic technology while delivering great customer service. This role offers structured development, overtime potential and a clear path to IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic may also satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Work independently to identify faults and resolve issues.
