The RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, diagnosing faults independently to keep members moving.

We offer a structured development pathway with hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities. The role features a strong base salary (£36,400) with an realistic OTE of £61,000 and optional overtime, plus career growth within RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults quickly and advise members to resume journeys.
• Work independently to identify issues and apply effective solutions.
• Use latest diagnostic tools to enhance fault-finding capability.
