Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide confident solutions and help members continue their journeys safely, working independently with the latest diagnostic tools.

The role offers a strong base salary of £36,400 with realistic OTE of £61,000, averaging about 40 hours per week with optional overtime, plus a structured development programme and IMI accreditation

Qualifications

• Either: NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to help members continue their journeys.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on roadside incidents.
