Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members while working independently to keep journeys safe and moving.

The role offers a strong base salary and an opportunity to grow through structured development and IMI accreditation, with demand-led shifts and optional overtime that reflect a real career path in roadside

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults independently and provide quick, confident solutions
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely
• Provide great customer service and reassurance when members need help most

Education
