Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will diagnose and repair vehicles at roadside, deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK, and provide trusted assistance to RAC members.

The role starts from home base and includes a supplied RAC van, tools, and uniform. The position offers a market base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of around £60,000+, and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults and provide quick, confident solutions to RAC members.
• Tackle a variety of roadside challenges and ensure high-quality customer service.
