Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll handle issues from flat batteries to tyre changes, helping members continue their journeys safely.

You’ll diagnose faults independently, use the latest diagnostic tools, and provide confident solutions with strong customer service. RAC offers structured development and robust benefits to support your career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and restore members' journeys quickly and safely.
• Use latest diagnostic tools and maintain high customer service.
