Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members when they need help most.

You’ll work independently to diagnose problems, restore travel and use the latest diagnostic tools while delivering excellent customer service. A structured development pathway supports accreditation and career growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and reassure members on the road.
• Work independently to get members back on their journeys safely.
