Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure RAC members when they need help most.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostic testing and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Professionally diagnose faults, propose quick solutions and restore mobility for RAC members.
• Work independently to identify faults, troubleshoot and communicate clear repair steps.
• Utilise diagnostic technology to identify issues and apply safe, effective fixes.
