Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform expert roadside repairs across the UK, delivering emergency breakdown support with strong customer service. You’ll work independently, using the latest diagnostic technology, and have opportunities for IMI accreditation and career development within the Patrol division.

The role offers a substantial base salary with an attainable OTE, a structured development pathway, and benefits including breakdown cover and pension schemes.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to get members back on the road quickly.
Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Work independently, making quick, confident decisions.
Develop skills through structured technical development and IMI accreditation opportunities.
