Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick and confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Develop technical skills through a structured development pathway and IMI accreditation.

Education
