Job summary

RAC is looking for Roadside Technicians to deliver expert roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, work independently and provide clear guidance to members in their hour of need.

The role offers a structured development pathway, hands-on learning and accreditation through IMI, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road
• Work independently to assess faults and communicate effectively with members
