Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, fix items on the roadside, and reassure members when they need assistance most.

Starting on demand-led shifts, you’ll work closely with the Patrol division, benefit from a structured development pathway and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation as you grow in a role that combines technical skill with outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic essential.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and offer quick, confident solutions.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points)
