Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and ensure customer reassurance when members are stranded.

The role offers strong base pay (£36,400) with an achievable OTE (circa £61,000) and a structured development programme with IMI accreditation opportunities, plus overtime options and various benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and deliver quick, confident solutions.
• Support ongoing development and enhance diagnostic capability.
