Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair roadside issues and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll operate with a driveway-based start and finish, delivering fast, confident solutions to get members back on the road in your local area.

You’ll benefit from a structured development pathway, hands-on learning, and ongoing support, with the opportunity to achieve IMI accreditation and pursue overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You’ll work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• You’ll combine technical expertise with great customer service, using the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
• You’ll be trusted to make decisions, supported to develop your skills and equipped with everything you need to succeed.
