Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic work, repairs, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You'll operate from home-based start points and use a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit to service members promptly.

The role combines strong technical skills with outstanding member service in a fast-paced environment, offering a structured progression and competitive pay alongside enhanced overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be equipped and ready for every call-out with the tools, tech, and support to get the job done.
