Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, deliver confident solutions and help members continue their journeys safely.

Starting and finishing on your driveway, with 40-hour weeks on average and optional overtime. Structured development with IMI accreditation opportunities and career growth within the RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.

Education

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience

5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
