Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out roadside repairs, and support members across the UK, starting and finishing your day at home while focusing on your local area.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one, with a clear path to earning bonuses through overtime and performance. Apply easily with no CV required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults, tyre changes, batteries, and related repairs on-site.

Education
