Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will combine mechanical expertise with strong customer service to get members safely back on the road.

The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 and opportunities for overtime and progression in a long-standing motor industry employer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely
• Use latest diagnostic technology and deliver strong customer service
