Job summary
RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work independently to diagnose faults, deliver quick solutions and help members continue their journeys safely.
The role offers a structured development path, ongoing training and IMI accreditation opportunities, with strong base pay and a realistic OTE. You can expect varied environments and autonomous work while helping keep drivers moving.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
- Handle emergency breakdown support and quick fault-finding.
- Diagnose faults independently to get members back on the road.
- Utilise latest diagnostic technology to identify faults.
- Provide confident solutions and customer reassurance.
- Develop skills through structured training and accreditation.
