Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics and roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll start and end from home, respond to breakdowns, and restore members quickly with confidence. A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience are required, along with a full UK driving licence with under six points.

You’ll be provided with an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and a diagnostic kit to support your work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years' roadside experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home when possible.
• Utilise tools and diagnostic kit to fix faults on site.
