Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and support members on the road across the UK. You’ll start and end your day from home, with a 40-hour week and optional overtime to boost earnings.

Ideal candidates have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 5+ years in the trade) and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Get members back on the road with quick, confident solutions
• Start and finish each day at home and manage calls head-on
