Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions, and reassure members when they need us most.

The role offers structured development, hands-on learning, and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation while advancing your technical career within the RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure RAC members.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
