Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, repair vehicles, and help members continue their journeys safely, using the latest diagnostic technology.

You will work independently to diagnose faults, make informed decisions, and develop your skills through our structured development pathway and IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and restore mobility.
• Participate in a structured development programme with IMI accreditation.
