Job summary
The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Patrol division to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform quick fixes and help members continue their journeys safely, working independently with strong customer service and the latest diagnostic tools.
Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire-based role offering a clear development pathway, IMI accreditation opportunities and a supportive team culture.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Structured development pathway with ongoing learning and IMI accreditation opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics to get members moving again.
- Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK with confidence and customer care.
- Diagnose faults independently and decide on safe, effective repairs.
- Work autonomously while contributing to the team and RAC standards of service.
