Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering fast, reliable mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics to members across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform tyre changes, battery work, and breakdown support with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with realistic OTE of £61,000 and opportunities for overtime, ongoing training, and IMI accreditation as you grow your skills and advance your career with us.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions.
