Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK. You will perform diagnostic and repair work on vehicles at the roadside, delivering fast, reliable service with a strong focus on member satisfaction.

You will start and end your day from home, receiving RAC van, equipment and support to handle diverse call-outs. A driving licence with minimal points is required and OTE targets reflect performance bonuses and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, focusing your day on helping members get back on the road.
• Use your tools, tech and support to diagnose and fix faults quickly and confidently.
