Job summary

As a Roadside Technician at RAC, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, repair and get members back on the road quickly and safely, working independently while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a structured development pathway with IMI accreditation, optional overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including share schemes and breakdown cover from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide expert roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work independently to quickly get members back on the road with first‑class service.
• Utilise up-to-date diagnostic technology and maintain safety and quality standards.
