Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide confident solutions and help members continue their journeys safely.

Starting on your driveway with demand-led shifts and potential overtime, the role offers structured development, IMI accreditation pathways and benefits such as a strong base salary and OTE, plus flexible colleague discounts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Develop diagnostic capability and use latest diagnostic technology.
