Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and carry out expert roadside repairs across the UK. The role combines hands-on mechanical work with customer service, delivering rapid, confident solutions when members are in need.

You'll develop through a structured programme, with opportunities to obtain IMI accreditation and advance within the Patrol division. Shifts are demand-led, averaging around 40 hours per week with optional overtime and development support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.

Education
