Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Starting and finishing on your driveway, shifts average 40 hours per week with demand-led hours and optional overtime available.

A structured development programme with hands-on learning, ongoing support and IMI accreditation opportunities is provided as you build a long-term career with RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions for members.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road safely.
