Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and get members back on the road quickly from your local area. You’ll work flexible shifts with overtime options, starting and finishing at home within the Chelmsford cluster and nearby towns.

Training and IMI accreditation are supported as you develop your technical career. You’ll benefit from a structured development pathway, ongoing learning, and a supportive team focused on delivering excellent service to RAC

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely
• Work independently to diagnose faults and improve customer satisfaction
