Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to restore members’ mobility with expert roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work from home locally, covering a Chelmsford cluster and nearby areas, with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and get members back on the road quickly.
