Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and have 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in a similar role.

You’ll start and finish at home, work ~40 hours weekly with overtime options, and receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit to support every call-out.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home, with a van, fuel card and tools provided.
