Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll deliver quick, confident solutions and excellent member service.

You’ll start and end your days from home, supported by an RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit, with generous holidays and a strong pension plan.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years’ equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence with <6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support UK-wide.
• Start and end days at home and operate from an RAC van with diagnostic kit.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and outstanding member service.
