Job summary

RAC is seeking a Superflex Roadside Patrol to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely, often on evenings, weekends and peak demand periods.

The role offers a structured development pathway and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation. Shifts are driven by member demand and can fall between 6am and 2am, with rostered days confirmed in advance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Work a varied shift pattern including evenings, weekends and peak demand periods.
• Use latest diagnostic technology and provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
