Right Now Group is looking for a Road Freight Operator to join our client in the Colnbrook area. Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics firm specializing in global freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.

Responsibilities of a Road Freight Operator:

1. Manage end-to-end export processes for road freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
2. Coordinate with international suppliers, carriers, and agents to secure bookings and negotiate freight rates.
3. Prepare and review shipping documents, including customs, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
4. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government agencies' requirements.
5. Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
6. Handle shipment discrepancies and resolve issues related to customs clearance or delivery delays.
7. Complete Road Freight Entries.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
9. Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to optimize logistics and inventory management.

The Successful Candidate:

• Proven experience in Road Freight, with a strong understanding of international shipping procedures and regulations.
• Familiarity with customs clearance processes and documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Experience with Boxtop & ASM Sequoia is a plus.

Additional Information:

• Shift: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
• Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
