Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking a hands-on Pre-Sales Application Engineer to bridge our CRFS portfolio with real customer needs. You will support sales, deliver demonstrations, and craft technically sound solutions across hardware, software, and system levels.

The role requires deep RF knowledge, Linux and networking skills, and travel up to 40% to UK and international sites. You’ll influence product direction and engage with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, RF/Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering, or systems engineering in RF, defence, or telecoms.
• Strong practical knowledge of RF principles and hands-on experience with RF equipment.
• Proficiency with Linux systems and IP networking; scripting ability for practical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team technically from qualification to contract award.
• Lead or contribute to customer meetings, workshops, and live demonstrations.
• Translate customer needs into technically sound solutions across CRFS portfolio.
• Develop deep hands-on expertise across hardware, software, and system-level solutions.
• Be an early adopter of products in development and provide product feedback.
• Travel within the UK and internationally (approx. 10–40%).
