Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is assisting a leading RF technology client in recruiting a Field Service Engineer. The role focuses on commissioning, on-site support, and UK-wide to international travel to deploy stadium and RF systems.

You will work with the engineering team on design, FAT, and hands-on training of operators, with a basic salary starting around £40,000 plus travel allowances and a performance-based bonus. A pool vehicle and pension contributions are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Basic RF knowledge and networking aptitude are required.
  • Willingness to travel UK-wide and internationally.
  • Experience with field service and on-site support is beneficial.

We are partnering with a dynamic organization at the forefront of technology solutions. With a global presence and a commitment to excellence, they have an exciting opportunity for a RF Network Engineer to join their team.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to fill a crucial role within our client's service team. This position involves both pre and post-sales support, with opportunities for UK-wide and international travel. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in commissioning systems, conducting fieldwork, and providing exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities:
  • Traveling to customer sites for commissioning and support, with occasional international travel (typically up to 2 weeks at a time every other month)
  • Monitoring and supporting stadium systems across the UK.
  • Collaborating with the systems engineering team on design and implementation projects.
  • Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) for system deployments.
  • Providing training and technical support to operators and clients.
  • Basic RF knowledge, including one or more of power dBm, spectrum analyser operation, signal generator use, and understanding of cabling and antenna types.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
It would be great if you also had:
  • Rigging experience
  • IT/Networking skills, including IP addressing and router setups
  • SC Clearance is highly desirable but not mandatory
Package:
  • Basic Salary: Starting at £40,000 with flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Daily allowance for travel expenses, including accommodation and meals.
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Pool vehicle for business use or fuel usage covered (whichever you prefer)
  • On-call allowance (1 in 3 rotation - circa £1,000+ extra per annum)
  • Annual leave starting at 23 days, increasing to 25 with service.
  • Other additional benefits such as medical schemes and pension contributions.
