Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting an Electronics Repair Engineer for a well established business delivering critical communication systems across the UK. The role is to diagnose faults on RF transmitters and related equipment down to component level, soldering and PCB repair, with training at the Welsh workshop before deployment mainly in Scotland.

You will test, align and calibrate repaired gear using oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analysers, install and maintain systems, and occasionally

Qualifications

• Strong electronics engineering background with ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Radio Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• Experience diagnosing faults on PCBs down to individual components including resistors and capacitors.
• Confident carrying out soldering, desoldering, rework and electronic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair RF transmitters and associated communications equipment to component level and carry out PCB repair, soldering, desoldering, rework and component replacement.
• Test, align and calibrate repaired equipment prior to returning it to service.
• Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and spectrum analysers.
• Install, commission, maintain and upgrade communications systems and associated equipment.
• Support fault investigation and repair across customer and network sites when required.
• Participate in an out of hours support rota once fully trained.
