Job summary

Demob Job Ltd. is seeking an Electronics Repair Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves diagnosing faults on RF transmitters and related equipment to component level, with initial training at the workshop in Wales and accommodation provided.

The position combines workshop electronics repair with occasional field engineering duties across Scotland. The successful candidate will have a strong electronics background, be comfortable with soldering and PCB repair, and be willing to

Qualifications

• Strong electronics engineering background with ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Radio Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• Experience diagnosing faults on PCBs down to individual components including resistors and capacitors.
• Confident carrying out soldering, desoldering, rework and electronic repairs.
• Experienced using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and multimeters.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally when required.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair RF transmitters and associated communications equipment to component level and carry out PCB repair, soldering, desoldering, rework and component replacement.
• Test, align and calibrate repaired equipment prior to returning it to service.
• Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and spectrum analysers.
• Install, commission, maintain and upgrade communications systems and associated equipment.
• Support fault investigation and repair across customer and network sites when required.
• Participate in an out of hours support rota once fully trained.
