Job summary

Mount Charles is recruiting a Mobile Chef to join our team across various Northern Ireland sites. This role offers a world leading facilities management environment with opportunities for career progression. You will plan, prepare and present meals to meet client expectations and dietary requirements.

The position is 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, typically 7/8am–4/5pm. A valid driving license and own transport are essential; mileage is paid for travel between sites, with Belfast and

Responsibilities

The Role:

• Reporting to the Operations Manager
• Planning, Preparation, and presentation of all meals served at the required time, adhering to the service level agreement and to the client, customer and Company satisfaction
• Adhering to special dietary requirements, paying particular attention to allergens
• Assist to control and monitor financial performance of the unit to pre budgeted targets
• Purchasing and stock control in accordance with company suppliers
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the unit to required standards
• Ensuring completion of due diligence records in line with Food safety policies
• Preparation of any hospitality catering as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours
• Take all necessary steps to ensure maximum security of the kitchen, store, office, safe and monies and any other areas under Mount Charles control
• To attend meetings or training courses as requested
• Preparation of Buffets and Hospitality
• Working as part of the team to maintain and deliver excellent customer service

The Person:

• Minimum Level 2 award in Food Safety and Catering or equivalent.
• Full driving license and a method of transport
• Good communications skills
• Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
• Strong customer service skills
• High levels of personal hygiene and appearance
• The ability to prioritise and have an eye for detail
• The ability to demonstrate great teamwork skills

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
