Job summary

Mount Charles is hiring a Mobile Cook to cover the Northern Ireland region. You will plan, prepare and present meals to a high standard while accommodating dietary requirements and allergens. You’ll help manage stock, adhere to safety policies, and deliver excellent customer service as part of a friendly team.

Mileage is paid and a pension is available. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role requires flexible hours (7am–7pm) and a commitment to hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 award in Food Safety and Catering or equivalent.
• Full driving license and a method of transport.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Planning, Preparation, and presentation of all meals served at the required time, adhering to the service level agreement and to client, customer and Company satisfaction.
• Adhering to special dietary requirements, paying particular attention to allergens.
• Assist to control and monitor financial performance of the unit to pre budgeted targets.
• Purchasing and stock control in accordance with company suppliers.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the unit to required standards.
• Ensuring completion of due diligence records in line with Food safety policies.
• Preparation of any hospitality catering as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours.
• Take all necessary steps to ensure maximum security of the kitchen, store, office, safe and monies and any other areas under Mount Charles control.
• To attend meetings or training courses as requested.
• Preparation of Buffets and Hospitality.
• Working as part of the team to maintain and deliver excellent customer service.

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Cook to join our team at Mount Charles Group - covering the Northern Ireland Region. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week.
• Five days out of seven
• Shifts between 7am and 7pm

The Role

The Person

• High levels of personal hygiene and appearance
• The ability to prioritise and have an eye for detail
• The ability to demonstrate great teamwork skills
• Minimum Level 2 award in Food Safety and Catering or equivalent.
• Full driving license and a method of transport
• Good communications skills
• Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
• Strong customer service skills
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
