Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Mobile Chef to cover Belfast and various sites. The role involves preparing and cooking to a high standard while maintaining HACCP standards and delivering excellent customer service in a contract catering environment.

The ideal candidate has prior culinary experience in busy kitchens, with strong HACCP knowledge and good communication and organisational skills. A driving licence and access to transport are required, with 8 hours per week and weekend on-call

Qualifications

• Culinary experience in a kitchen environment required.
• Experience in a busy kitchen and contract catering preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, adhering to HACCP regulations.
• Service counter prep and readiness for service.
• Provide the highest level of customer service.
• Work with the team to ensure timely service.
• Record food temperatures and update cleaning schedules.
• Report defective equipment and floor surfaces to Line Manager.
• Label all food correctly.
• Carry out cleaning duties as required.
• Brief team on ingredients and allergens.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene policies.

We are currently recruiting foraMobile Chef to join our team covering Belfast, Various Sites. This isa great opportunityto join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern:

• 8 hours per week
• Weekend on call - Sat and Sun between 07:00-19:00

The Role:

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time
• Completing any administration includingrecording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules
• Report defective equipment, floor surfacesto theLineManager
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager
• Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
• Comply withHACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above
• Full clean driving licence
• Access to own transport
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
