Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Belfast is recruiting a Mobile Chef to join our team, covering the Belfast area. This is a great opportunity to work for a world leading facilities management company and contribute to high standards of catering across the unit.

The role requires previous culinary experience, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work in a busy kitchen with strong communication and teamwork. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience in a busy kitchen.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team or individually.
• Experience in a contract catering environment is desirable.
• NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds 706/1&2 qualification is preferred.
• Full clean driving licence may be required.
• Basic reading, writing and listening skills for safety and instruction communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages for the unit.
• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring HACCP compliance.
• Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent manner.
• Work as part of the team to ensure timely, high-quality service.
• Complete administration within remit including recording of food temperatures.
• In the absence of the Unit Manager, complete bookwork procedures per company requirements.
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ surfaces to the Line Manager.
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly and accurately.
• Prepare and manage all aspects of hospitality catering.
• Comply with HACCP regulations as necessary.

Working Pattern

• 30 hours per week
• 5 days out of 7
• Between 8am – 6pm
• Days and times will vary

TheRole:

• Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages for the unit

• Providing the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time and to the highest possible standard
• Completing any administrationwhich would sit within remitincludingrecording of food temperatures
• In the absence of theUnitManagercomplete bookwork procedures in line with company requirements
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces to theLineManager

The Person:

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2
• Full clean driving licence
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
