Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Mobile Chef to join our team covering the Belfast area. This is a 40-hour-per-week role with flexibility to work 5 or 7 days and a weekend-on/weekend-off pattern.

We offer 20 days pro rata leave, a company pension, and wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Program. You will prepare and cook meals to an exceptional standard, ensure HACCP compliance, and provide the highest level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience in a busy kitchen.
• Experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Demonstrable HACCP knowledge and compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to a high standard.
• Maintain service counters and prep areas.

Working Pattern

The Role

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time
• Completing any administration includingrecording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules
• Report defective equipment, floor surfacesto theLineManager
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager
• Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
• Comply withHACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above
• Full clean driving licence
• Access to own transport
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
