Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Mobile Chef to join our team covering SRC Newry East and other sites. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring HACCP regulations are adhered to. Provide the highest level of customer service while working as part of a team or individually in a busy catering environment.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience is required.
• Experience in a busy kitchen is essential.
• Demonstrable knowledge of HACCP procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Experience in contract catering is preferred.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds 706/1&2 or above.
• Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
• Basic statutory training in safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard.
• Ensure HACCP regulations are followed and recording kept.
• Keep service counter prepped and ready for service.
• Deliver high levels of customer service.
• Work as part of a team to ensure timely service.
• Complete administration including temperatures and schedules.
• Report any defective equipment to the Line Manager.
• Ensure all food is labelled and allergens are managed.
• Carry out cleaning duties as required.

The Role:

• Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service
• Providing the highest level of customer service
• Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time
• Completing any administration includingrecording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules
• Report defective equipment, floor surfacesto theLineManager
• Ensure all food is labelled correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager
• Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to
• Comply withHACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

• Previousculinary experience
• Previousexperience working in a busy kitchen
• Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually
• Previousexperience working in a contract catering environment
• NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above
• Full clean driving licence
• Access to own transport
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing,speakingand listening skills toassistin understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
