Telford & Wrekin Council is recruiting 2 Revenues Officers to work from home on a 37-hour, 12-month temporary contract. You will join the Revenues Team handling either Council Tax, Business Rates and Miscellaneous Income or the billing of Council Tax and Business Rates, with full training provided.

Telford & Wrekin Council are looking to recruit 2 home-working Revenues Officers.
1 x 37 hour 12-months temporary contract
You will be part of our award winning Revenues Team, responsible for either the Collection of Council Tax, Business Rates and Miscellaneous Income accounts (Invoicing & Collection) or for the billing of Council Tax and Business Rates. Full training and ongoing coaching/mentoring will be given. We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering a quality service to the Telford & Wrekin customers.
In Revenues you need a broad skill set, as you will be dealing with a wide variety of people, from customers receiving invoices for various services the Authority provide, council tax payers, businesses, benefit claimants and other support agencies. You will need to be good with numbers, have an ability to interpret and explain legislation, policies and procedures, and be proficient with using IT systems.

We are looking for someone with:
Whilst previous experience is not essential, you will require a sound knowledge of education, excellent communication and customer service skills, along with a pro‑active approach to all areas of work with a keen eye for accuracy.
As a council employee you will be expected to demonstrate the Councils Core Behaviours and fully abide by the Health and Safety Policy and the Council’s policies for Data Protection and Information Security.
